The Painter's Jacket
Inspired by the very first chore coat that showed up in late 19th century France, our interpretation has a structured fit, tapered sleeve, and three large front pockets.

FABRIC, ETC.
Sewn in 100% sustainable cotton. The raw materials are upcycled and woven by a family owned and operated mill, based out of Guatemala. Their circular manufacturing process is chemical-free, dye-free and uses minimal water and energy. The buttons are natural corozo (nut) and our thread is 100% cotton.
DYE
Working in small batches, our fabric is dyed using fiber reactive dyes. A process that is considered more permanent than most any other type. The color bonds with the cotton fiber and becomes a physical part of the molecule, creating an incredibly strong wash and light fastness! Note: We strive for color consistency but slight variations should be expected.
PRODUCTION
  • Designed and sewn in CA
  • 8 oz. cotton
  • Corozo buttons (nut based)
  • White contrast stitching
  • Pre-washed and shrunk
  • Model: Size small (5' 8")

PRODUCTION
All of our clothing is designed and sewn in Southern, California. These jackets are sewn in collaboration with a female owned Los Angeles based factory. Their ethos is strongly built on responsible, sustainable and ethical practices, prioritizing a healthy work environment for their machinists and technicians, truly! We've seen it with our own eyes.
SIZING
Models are 5'6" and 5'4" — both are wearing a size small.
If you have any questions about measurements or fit, reference our size guide.
We recommend this vegan kapok insert, that’s been tested to fit our cases very well. It's also one of the most environmentally friendly insert options out there.
