We couldn't bare to toss these beautifully dyed bits of fabric in the trash, so we've designed a pillow that's sewn almost completely from scraps. Inspired by quilting and patchwork techniques, we slowly piece together each pillow into this graphic pattern.
It takes 64 squares (cut with care) to create one pillow. The back is 8oz. upcycled cotton and has an envelope style closure. Take note that we don’t photograph each individual pillow. Due to the inconsistent nature of scraps, what you see here is a general representation of the colorway you’ll be receiving.
Both of these fabrics are Deadstock, sourced by our team in Los Angeles, Calif. What is deadstock? It's unused fabric that has been abandoned for a handful of different reasons. Sometimes brands overestimate their needs, a fabric mill might produce too much, or a dye house doesn’t match a color perfectly. Whatever the reason, it needs to find a new home.
