The Scrap Pillow
We couldn't bare to toss these beautifully dyed bits of fabric in the trash, so we've designed a pillow that's sewn almost completely from scraps. Inspired by quilting and patchwork techniques, we slowly piece together each pillow into this graphic pattern.

PATCHWORK
It takes 64 squares (cut with care) to create one pillow. The back is 8oz. upcycled cotton and has an envelope style closure. Take note that we don’t photograph each individual pillow. Due to the inconsistent nature of scraps, what you see here is a general representation of the colorway you’ll be receiving.
FABRIC WASTE
Both of these fabrics are Deadstock, sourced by our team in Los Angeles, Calif. What is deadstock? It's unused fabric that has been abandoned for a handful of different reasons. Sometimes brands overestimate their needs, a fabric mill might produce too much, or a dye house doesn’t match a color perfectly. Whatever the reason, it needs to find a new home.
WEAR AND CARE
  • Designed and sewn in CA
  • 8 oz. cotton
  • Corozo buttons (nut based)
  • White contrast stitching
  • Pre-washed and shrunk
  • Model: Size small (5' 8")

WEAR AND CARE
Because of the mysterious nature of deadstock, it’s unclear what the actual material is and how it was dyed. That being said, we can’t guarantee how it will wear over time. As you should with all your textiles, treat this piece with care and it’ll stick around for a while.
DETAILS
All of our pillows are sewn by our in-house team. We use 100% cotton thread throughout the entire piece. Take note that the insert is not included.
If you have any questions about measurements or fit, reference our size guide.
We recommend this vegan kapok insert, that’s been tested to fit our cases very well. It's also one of the most environmentally friendly insert options out there.
