The Session Hat
Originally worn by Irish farmers and fishermen as protection against the rain, the bucket hat has a long history. Our design kept the downward-slanting brim (flip up or down) and a small footprint (throw it in your pocket or bag easily) while squaring off the top and adding a pop of color.

FABRIC
This specific green session hat is sewn in deadstock fabric. We only have one roll of this, making it a Limited Edition. What is deadstock? It's unused fabric that has been abandoned for a handful of different reasons. Sometimes brands overestimate their needs, a fabric mill might produce too much, or a dye house doesn’t match a color perfectly. Whatever the reason, it needs to find a new home.
ETC.
Because of the mysterious nature of deadstock, it’s unclear what the actual material is and how it was dyed. That being said, we can’t guarantee how it will wear over time. As you should with all your clothing, treat this piece with care and it’ll stick around for a while.
PRODUCTION
  • Designed and sewn in CA
  • 8 oz. cotton
  • Corozo buttons (nut based)
  • White contrast stitching

PRODUCTION
Our Session Hats are made right here in our San Diego studio. We are currently a three person, all female sewing team that crank these out with love and care.
SIZING
To get your circumference, wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your head. If you don't have a measuring tape, a piece of string or floss and a ruler works too. Please note that this deadstock does not have much stretch, so size up if you're in between sizes. A bit of wiggle room is never a bad idea.
If you have any questions about measurements or fit, reference our size guide.
