Why? For fabric that we have a very limited amount of, we're not sewing an inventory ahead of time. We want to guarantee those of you who get here first, have access to the size you'd like. In order to do that, we measure exactly how many yards we have and how many pieces we can make with it :)
That being said, these will be sewn upon order so please expect around 2-4 weeks for it to ship. Thank you!

THE PIECE
Sized down for your kiddos! and made for sunny days — this extra wide hat will keep the rays off their cheeks and out of their eyes. It has the same fit and squared-off top as our Session Hat, but with a stiffer brim that can be molded to create a few different looks. Note: It still has a bit of flop to it. We've also added an easily removable chin strap, allowing you to adjust for a windy hike or relaxing pool day.
FABRIC
Sewn in 100% sustainable cotton. The raw materials are upcycled and woven by a family owned and operated mill, based out of Guatemala. Their circular manufacturing process is chemical-free, dye-free and uses minimal water and energy.
UPCYCLED
What does upcycled mean? The textile mill collects and sorts post-industrial waste from local garment factories, grinds the scraps back into fiber, and spins them into new yarns that will then be woven into new fabric.
SEWING
We currently produce our pieces in two locations. Our limited edition items are made in our small San Diego studio, by a team of two. Everything else is sewn by a factory based in Los Angeles, California.
WASTE
From day one, we've saved our cutting scraps instead of sending them to the landfill. We give them a second life by working them into smaller, one-of-a-kind pieces.
SIZING
To get your circumference, wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your head. If you don't have a measuring tape, a piece of string or floss and a ruler works too. This fabric has little to no stretch so if you're in between sizes, we'd recommend going up. Take note that it has been pre-shrunk.
